     There is no doubt my relationship with God is strengthened through my prayer life. Along with my personal prayer—each day I pray the Serenity Prayer. It says, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

​

     Notice that the first words are, "Lord, grant me..." In it, I am asking my amazing God to help me to do something that will bless my life and help me to bless the lives of others. I acknowledge that I cannot do the things myself and so with a sincere heart I ask our amazing God to grant them to me. These are things that will make me a stronger Christian disciple. When I pray, I believe I am standing dressed in the whole armor of God. That means I am standing strong in faith, trusting God to honor my requests.

     My Sisters, during your times of prayer, I encourage you to also stand strong in the whole armor of God and believe Him to grant your requests as well.
